Kathy was the first of four born to William James Brooks and Drucilla Stokes Brooks. She was lovingly named after her grandmother Katherine Stokes Broner. The family lived in Eatonvile, where Kathy attended Edgewater High School. As an adult, she moved to Orlando, where she attended City College. She earned a degree in Business Administration. On June 6, 1997, Kathy married Antonio Haynes and they joined together 8 children. As a family they attended New Destiny Christian Center in Orlando, FL. She served faithfully in the Children's Ministry and the Book Store. She was a devoted Girl Scout Leader and was very active in the Dance Ministry. She also enjoyed crocheting and event planning.
